We aim to reach out to families and those in need in our community

Avon Valley Community Matters is a charity set up by Church members from the Avon Valley Benefice to help reach those in our communities - in Fordingbridge and its surrounding villages - who need it most. To date we have funded various community outreach projects including Half Term, Christmas and Easter ‘In-a-Bag’ for more than 1,000 children in the area, Valentines cupcakes to care homes, children and their families as well as Hot Cross Buns for students at Burgate School and Sixth Form. We also run a popular Picnics Together and Holiday Activities programme to help entertain and feed local children and families.

We offer Bereavement Support, a monthly Friendship Group as well as a thriving weekly Playgroup - Superstars in Fordingbridge.

AVCM has also recently opened a very successful Charity Shop on Fordingbridge High Street which helps fund our community projects and support those in need of valuable retail experience.
